SHALINI V SELVAN
Shalini is a law graduate and an aspiring human rights advocate. Her journey with CYBHER began with #Predatorgram, where she gathered evidence by infiltrating group chats. Under the guidance of Mahajoth Singh, a spirited human rights advocate, she delved into human rights advocacy in the legal arena. Shalini also spearheaded several projects aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Gender Equality, and mentored college students in social, economic and humanitarian outreach during her time with UPLIFT. She possesses a keen interest and professional certificates in tech fuelling her vision to combine law and technology in the fight for a safer online world. Shalini is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, and is continuously improving her Mandarin and French.
SATTYA SHANKARY
Sattya Shankary, is a counsellor currently based in Melbourne, Australia. She began her journey in advocacy while interning at AWAM and assisting her mother to support Indian single mothers in Johor. Sattya is passionate about working with victim survivors of gender-based violence and decolonizing therapy frameworks with her young clients. In her free time, she can be seen at the gym or on her couch catching up on tv shows.
SHRE MAHA
Shre is a dedicated advocate for online safety and gender equality. While Shre was earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Psychology and Management at Nottingham University, she immersed herself in the Malaysian student activist scene, advocating for sociopolitical issues. This experience paved the way for her role as a researcher at the ASEAN Research Center, where she focuses on impact driven research. Her research interests include Southeast Asian studies, marginalized communities, racial politics and gender studies. Shre is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Tamil. In her free time, Shre is also a fine art photographer.
DILPREET KAUR
Dilpreet is an aspiring activist (some may say she already is). She has been a part of the core team of CYBHER since October 2020 and has assisted in numerous cases involving online gender-based violence. Previously, she was actively involved with curating safe spaces within her Sikh community in Gurmat Parchaar Samelan. She is inspired by resilience and kindness.

Consultant and researcher specialising in human rights. Passionate about fair and just societies, labour rights, and feminist policies.
SUBASHINI JEYARAMAN
Previously graduated in Cinematography, Subashini has switched to working at a local news outlet handling its web content for two years now. Despite the lack of experience in the activism/advocacy scene, she is passionate in topics related to women’s issues, racial dynamics and creating a safe space for victims of online gender-based violence. During her free time, you can catch her browsing through food recommendations or chasing her three cats around.
LAVINIA ABIRAMI
Lavinia is a part of the Communications and Marketing team at GIFT, where she excels. in crafting compelling content and deploying copies across various platforms, including newsletters, websites, and social media channels. With a passion for writing, Lavinia joined CYBHER to help build up CYBHER’s brand visibility and engagement with its audience. Prior to this, Lavinia served as a project management intern at Accenture, where she was tasked with improving document management processes and monitored various project dashboards. Beyond her professional endeavours, Lavinia is deeply committed to making a difference in her community. As a volunteer for MED-EL, she educates and supports new users of cochlear implants, drawing from her own experiences as a deaf individual. Lavinia is a recent graduate from Monash University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Commerce. She speaks and writes fluently in both English and Malay.
